Getting Dressed: 5 Fab Tips for Getting Ready in the Morning

Finally, you have awakened. After showering, you walk over to your closet and just stand there. You have no clue what your next step is going to be. Meanwhile, the time just looks at you and walks away. You yawn, so uninspired. Puzzled even. You say to yourself a hymn of a thousand excuses. Surprisingly, you think of yourself as the more stylish girl in your crew. People look to you at the office. Gee, the expectation is so high. “CHALLENGE!” In my greatest Cosby Show hype-girl voice, I challenge you to not only be stylish after you have dressed, but I challenge you to be stylish while you get dressed. The very meaning of our fave, most times over-used word, “fabulous” is “having no basis in reality.” Ladies, I’m telling you that in real life we can extend our concept of style today. Getting dressed can become the best part of our glam days if we integrate a few quick tips into our morning routines. The process of getting dressed in the morning should be both an efficient and pleasurable experience. Instead, so many of us lack a steady routine to dressing in the morning. I say, if you have to get up at 6 a.m., why not make it a fabulousness based in reality?

THE PRE-SET: Clothing + Accessories + Makeup
Perhaps it’s the rebel in you that has insisted on ignoring this advice. Why don’t you go ahead and select your clothes before bed? To remind yourself, place a super cute sticky on your wall next to your closet and title it, “Today’s Look.” You’ll remember and maybe even impress your boo.

Take the extra step and place the accessories you have in mind on the hanger. Ladies, this is not over-thinking your look. The pre-set is all about preparation, plus it saves you loads of time in the morning. There should be a designated area on your dresser or vanity for makeup. This area should have all of your brushes and products pre-set in the morning.

THE CLOCK: Why 2 Clocks Are Necessary
We should all strive to be fashionably on time. We can’t afford to be late for jobs in a recession. This is precisely why you need two clocks. The clock on your dresser should be set 10 minutes fast, use the clock on your phone for the exact time.

THE MOOD: Space + Scent + Music
Don’t set the mood just because he’s coming over. Be true to you and get into the dawn by creating an energy for dressing. Turn on your favorite radio station or playlist. In fact, create a playlist just for dressing. Play the songs that make you feel fierce and confident. Next, light that fragrant candle you’ve been saving. Place it on your dresser or vanity and allow the scent to further awaken you. Keep your dressing area organized and uncluttered. You can’t dress fabulously with things splattered everywhere.

THE EATS: How to Eat & Get Dressed
The stylish set should not avoid breakfast. It’s worth getting up a few minutes earlier to enjoy a morning snack as you dress. While you’re in the shower, broil your water for coffee. Once the kettle starts singing, jump out and pour! It’s critical to take in a fuss-free breakfast while you dress. Later for crumbs and messy jelly. In your sultry robe, pull out a bowl of green grapes before you apply your makeup. As you comb out your hair right before you apply your lipstick, pause a for sip of your coffee and have another grape.

THE GRAB & GO: 5 Items to Grab in a Dash and GO!
A million thoughts dance inside our heads in the morning. We’re the most forgetful at this time. Spare yourself by placing these five essentials next to the door:

Keys
Bag
Phone
iPod
Energy bar

Quickly double-check yourself in the mirror, wink and GO!

How To Wear Mini Skirts
Fashion of Mini Skirts

Along with many other 80s trends which make their comeback this season, mini skirts get a special spotlight. This time, it's more embellished, layered, textured and sophisticated than ever. If you got a nice pair of legs - this is your time to show them off. If you don't - there is always a pair of opaque black tights to make your legs look better.
There is one big problem with mini skirts I've seen on the streets of NYC, especially on Saturday nights, where large groups of 20- something, seeking for adventures in love, invade the town. It's so easy to take the mini skirt look into the "trashy" areas by styling it wrong, which many of these ladies unfortunately do. Therefore I had to come up with my ultimate guide to wearing a mini:

1. Add Layers - it's hard to make the mini skirt look sophisticated by wearing just 2 pieces - a skirt and a top. Get creative and pair it with a vest, adding a bit of an edge to it.
2. Cover Up - another great way to make a mini skirt look sophisticated and even office-appropriate is pairing it with a tailored short sleeve jacket to cover your shoulders. Cover up your legs with opaque tights - they will not only make your legs look ten times better, but the entire ensemble will be more acceptable as a day look.
3. Draw attention to your feet. To balance off the exposed legs, find a pair of bold shoes or go for booties. A trendy pair of black ankle booties goes perfectly with any mini skirt.
4. Let loose. The modern mini skirt is never too tight or revealing - find one with layers or texture that will hide the lines of your body.
5. Go feminine on top - details like ruffles will soften the look, adding the feminine touch.
6. Oversize - a great look is always based on properly balanced contrasts. A tiny skirt will look great with anything over-sized - tshirt, tank, or a boyfriend blazer.

Wear Tunic with Style
Tunic Dress

A tunic dress is a loose fitting dress style that drapes from the shoulders down. They are comfortable to wear and their simple silhouette makes them perfect for accessorizing. The key to looking fabulous in a tunic dress is choosing the right style for your body type.

The following is a brief guide on selecting a tunic dress to match your body shape. It also suggests accessories that would be best paired with your tunic dress:

Apple shaped women
If you have a full stomach and lean limbs, you are likely to find that the tunic style dress is a dream come true. This is because the style doesn't cling to the stomach. Look for a style that falls in folds over your tummy, as it will conceal any lumps and bumps. Try to look for a sleeveless style, or one with fitted sleeves, because this will draw attention to your slimmer arms. Leggings and hosiery look great with tunic style dresses and they are the perfect way to draw attention to lean legs. Or try partnering your tunic with a nice cuff, or perhaps a couple of bangles. Steer clear of belts, because they will bring the focus back to your stomach.
Pair shaped women
The key to making a tunic work for a curvy bottom and hips is to choose a style that has volume at the sleeve area. This will help balance your shoulders and hips. Think puff sleeves and boat neck style necklines When it comes to accessories, a belt worn slightly high on the waist will draw attention to your slimmer region, whilst creating an A line effect over your bottom half. Take care, not to wear your belt further down on the waist or hips, because this is likely to draw attention to your fullest area.
Top heavy women
Top heavy women suit tunic styles that feature deeper necklines, so look for a V neck, or low scoop neck style. Steer clear of sleeves that are either too tight, or too voluminous. Your aim is to minimize the upper body. Highlight your slim hip region by wearing a feature belt slung low over the hips.
Hourglass shaped women
The hourglass shaped figure is well proportioned at the shoulders and hips, so the goal when wearing a tunic is to keep this balance in check. The best way to do this is to choose a basic tunic style and belt it with a wide belt at waist height. This will draw attention to your tiny waist and create desirable curves above and below this point.
Good luck shopping for the perfect tunic dress!

Dressing Tips for Women
Women Outfits

What to wear? Will I be able to carry of this dress properly? Is the dress making me look fater? Will my clothes compliment my complexion? God, are there any tips to help women dress better?

Phew! Exhausting questions aren’t they. But these are certain basic queries which often prop up in all women’s minds at one point or another.Often conscious of the fact of not knowing how to dress up according to their respective body types, women end up being dressed up incorrectly, as if their style sense has been murdered.
An hour glass figure is not every women’s pride, many women who do not have a good figure brood over it. But hey! Do not get disheartened as there is a solution for every problem. All women want to look their best, so it is imperative to understand and wear what suits your body.
Distinctive body structure or an enviable body, what ever you have, accept it and create a perfect look for yourself every time you step out, by following these basic dressing tips:-

Dressing tips for short heighten:
Remember, good things always come in small packages, so it does not matter if you are short. The key is to make yourself appear taller by wearing the right kind of clothes. If you wish to wear skirts their length can be till the knee or above the knee length. Kurtas should end at or slightly above the knee. Tops with three-fourth sleeves can be worn. If you are wearing a saree, than better go for high heels. They will make you look tall.
Dressing tips for tall heighten women:
If your being tall bothers you, just revamp your wardrobe by investing in clothes which do not make you look taller. Skirts length should be balanced, neither too short nor too long. Skirts which end at your calves are fine. Stay away from vertical lined kurtas and they should not be high collared too. Big prints or overall printed outfits would look good. Long tops with bottoms with mixture of light and dark colors will look good.
Dressing tips for women who are larger on top and narrow at bottom:
If being larger on top due to a large bust or wide shoulders and having a narrow bottom is giving you sleepless nights, do not worry as there are numerous dressing options. Try to wear clothes like long skirts or pants, kurtis or jackets which draw attention downwards. If you like saris wear one with big borders. Accessories like big chunky belts should not be worn.
Dressing tips for women who are wide on hips with narrow top:
If you have hips and a narrow top do not get conscious of your body, instead dress accordingly. Do not wear anything which lays emphasis on your hip area. Try to increase the length of your top. Long narrow trousers can also be worn. Saris with big prints in the middle should not be worn. With accessories draw the attention upwards.
Dressing tips for women with an ideal figure:
If blessed with an ideal figure go ahead and flaunt it. You can wear just about anything. But if either your top or bottom is overly blessed do not add bulk to either of them. You can wear tailored jackets, shirt-waist dresses. If you do not want your shapely body to be a cause for distraction wear loose clothes like kurtas. With saris wear modest blouses.
Dressing tips for women who are round in shape:
Are you throwing up your hands in angst! if you are round in shape? Well the solution is to wear clothes with gathers or pleats. Gauzy saris should be avoided as far as possible and fitted salwar kameez are not meant for you. Wear vests, maxi length blouses and avoid wearing prints.
Dressing tips for women who are thin:
Well if you are lean and thin all over you need to look fuller by adding dimension to your body. Wear fabrics like cotton, organza velvet which are fluffy in nature. Wear clothes which are neither too loose nor too clingy, they should have a proper fit. Unstructured tops can be worn but should not be sleeveless. Horizontal patterns can be worn. Fitted salwar kameez as well as saris can be worn.
If you are conscious of your complexion don’t worry checkout some tips below:
Dressing tips for women who blessed with fair complexion:
If you have a fair complexion, brighter colors will look good, like hues of lime green, blue or any other vibrant color can be worn but also keep in mind the occasion like at night time you can wear black.
Dressing tips for women with dusky complexion:
Light shades like pastels with minimum embellishments and sober embroidery will be good. Contrasting a light colored top with a dark toned trouser will be a good idea. Vibrant colors like mustard, orange, yellow should be avoided.
So try to incorporate these tips by wearing the appropriate clothes that will not only suit your body structure but will also enhance your personality. Do not follow fashion trends blindly as every outfit is not meant for everyone.

How to Look Slim

How to Look Slim
Most women always have one common thought in mind-what are the various ways to look slim and trim? While some cut down on their food intake and others swear by rigorous exercise routines, there are times you may have felt whether these routines actually work. Almost every woman would want to look slimmer and taller and her everyday habit would be to glance longingly at the weighing scale and hope it shows a reduction in the flab. Well, the point is, not many women know that women’s clothing can be altered to suit your body structure and can even make you look slimmer! Yes, this is probably why you don’t always ‘see’ yourself look slimmer. If you are wearing women’s clothing that is not suited for your body, it can obviously never flatter your figure. So, are there any fashionable ways to look slim without throwing out those gorgeous pieces in the closet? This is possible only with a matter of the right know how! Here are some ways to look slim by adding subtle changes to your wardrobe.

Women’s Clothing: Ways to Look Slim (Without losing the flab!)
  • Always remember to accentuate your assets! This would draw the attention away from the other problem areas of the body and give you a slimmer look overall. Avoid wide and broad belts if you have a large waist. If you have nice legs, go in for a knee length skirt with a basic shirt to bring more attention to the legs.
  • For the top-heavy women, always avoid clingy fabrics on the top area. You need to go in for darker colors. Look for tops with raglan sleeves or ones that fit loose and slim down to hug the hips and waist. You can go in for thin materials like cotton or cotton jersey. The one way to look slim would definitely be the use of one-color dressing. This helps to slim down the overall silhouette. As mentioned before, if you have well shaped legs, then go in for a knee length skirt to draw the attention away from the top area.
  • The kind of fit you choose for your pants can also go a long way in making you look slimmer than usual. Your pants should at least be long enough to cover half your heel. If you are on the shorter side, wearing a straight leg or slight boot cut can elongate your leg. Avoid French pleats or cropped pants. Ensure the pants fit you snugly and not too tightly. An excess of fabric on the bottom area would add bulk and give it a shapeless look. Long pants create the illusion of a longer body; and in turn, can make you look slimmer.
  • Colors help you in various ways to look slim. Well, black therefore rates high on the list of women on the heavier side. This does not mean you always have to wear outfits in full black and lose your connection with color. You can go in for bright hues but use these to highlight body areas, which can be used to your advantage. You wouldn’t want to wear a color that screams for attention and shows you in the wrong light. Similarly, you may also need to check the large patterned tops or pants you may own. Large patterns tend to add bulk to your body. Look for some delicate designs instead.
  • If you are heavy on the hips choose clothes with small padded shoulders (if you must wear padded shoulders). Large shoulder pads can make you look really huge which if something, you obviously wish to avoid. Wear tops that reach your hips so that it slims down the problem area. Go in for jackets, shirtwaist dresses with straight, classic cuts and tailored suits. Wear lighter shades on the upper torso and dark stockings below. Choose patterns that go below your knees. This would underplay the hip area. So, if you really wish to wear a dress, look for an ankle length, flowing one. Stick to A-line patterns and avoid umbrella and pinafore cuts.
  • Always choose garments with vertical lines. This is one of the great ways to look slim. The use of vertical lines also elongates and slims down the body by adding height to it. These lines can be created by pinstripes, prints, topstitching etc. Horizontal lines add width to the body, so avoid these in any form.
  • Wearing loose clothes all the time may not always be the right way to look slim. Instead, opt for clothes that fit well! Avoid wearing small sized clothes as well. I have often seen women go in for something that is smaller than their regular size only because it has caught their fancy.
  • Wearing skinny or slim bangles and bracelet styled watches can make your arms look thinner.
  • Avoid shiny fabrics in loud colors. These reflect light and thus will make you appear larger.
Women’s clothing are available in a variety of options today, so finding the right cut and style to flatter you may not always be as difficult as you think. These various ways to look slim should definitely help you get a new look without sweating it out on the treadmill!

Tips for Tall Women
Dressing Tips for Tall Women
If you’re a taller than average woman it can sometimes be a frustrating experience when you are trying to find the styles of womens clothing that suit your body structure. When you are looking for womens clothing it shouldn’t be a guessing game or a gamble. You will end up wasting a lot of money on clothes that don’t suit your height or figure. You should know exactly the kind of womens clothing that suits your body structure and what kind of clothing to stay away from. Below are some helpful tips for taller women so they can fill their wardrobes with the proper types of womens clothing.

Tall women should avoid wearing Womens clothing that have bright and wild prints. Wear a different coloured top than what you wear below. Wearing two different colours above and below will help break up your height. Stick to outfits that have both light and dark colours. As much as possible, stay away from monochromatic womens clothing. Tall women look attractive and appealing with wide belts because it makes their torso appear shorter. A wide belt can be the perfect accessory to a simple a-line dress, a skirt, or even trousers. Belts help define the waist on a tall figured woman so she doesn’t seem like one big endless mass. When searching for the right pair of trousers look for those which have cuffs on the bottom. Cuffs at the bottom of your pants will help make you appear shorter than you actually are.

Wear dresses and skirts that end at your shins. Do not bother with dresses that end at your ankles because they will accentuate your height. Other ideal womens clothing that end below the knee are capris. Shin skirts and dresses and capris are the types of womens clothing that will reduce the elongated look of your body. Whatever womens clothing you decide to wear make sure they are neither too loose nor too fitted. Your tops should be longer than what you wear below. By wearing a long top and something short below you make you give the impression that you are shorter. Wearing low heeled shoes such as ballet flats will avoid adding height to your already tall frame.
Tall women should use large accessories to match their Womens clothing. If you are wearing earrings select long dangly earrings instead of studs. In this case bigger is better. The same rule applies for purses and hand bags. It looks very odd and disproportionate when a tall woman carries a small purse. You don’t want to look like a giant carrying Barbie sized accessories. A tall woman should carry large hand bags in solid colours. By following these tips you will be able to find the right kind of womens clothing for you. A smart shopper has an idea of what clothes to look for before they start shopping.
Whatever your figure or frame you should always know what types of womens clothing suit your figure so you can highlight the best qualities of your body.

How to Wear White Dress
Tips for white Dress

White dresses are refreshing and summery. The colour white connotes purity, innocence and liberty. Wearing white dresses well, however, is a little more complex than the simplicity suggested by the colour. This article provides some pointers on wearing a white dress well.
  • Be sure that white suits you. White doesn't suit all people but it is a colour many can wear without problems (provided the fit of the dress looks good). Warm skin tones go well with white; if you have a tan or naturally dark skin, white looks amazing. If white makes you look washed out, avoid it.
  • Select a solid and opaque white dress. White fabric suffers the curse of being see-through in many instances. When you shop for your white dress, check the transparency factor. To do this:
      • a) Place the dress up against the light.
      • b) Hold a hand behind the dress.
      • c) Look for your hand and see how obvious it is. If you can see the color and form of your hand, that dress is going to show everything underneath!

  • Select quality fabric. Quality fabrics are less likely to be see-through. Some dresses may even be lined. Look for heavier count cottons, linen and some manmade fabrics.
  • Avoid clinging white dresses. White is not a colour that lends itself to good flattering when it clings to your curves. Select white dresses that billow, flounce and flow. White is about summer, freedom and breezes, so make sure that the dress reflects these features well.
  • Wear underwear that is the same colour as your skin. Don't wear white underwear, nor any other colour (other than your skin colour) for that fact. Skin-toned underwear will ensure that nothing peeps through to draw the eye to the wrong place; use skin-coloured slips, underpants and skin-coloured bras
  • Choose an appropriate shoe to match a white dress. White is the color of purity and simplicity. If you want to stand out, you can add red high heels with your white dress, but some people might consider it over the top--and if that's what you're going for, that's good! Otherwise...
  • a) Beige, camel, brown and soft grey make great colour choices.
  • b) Silver, bronze or gold metallic sandals or flip flops are always perfectly fitting with white
  • Avoid wearing white sandals or shoes, as this will create an overwhelming effect.
  • Choose appropriate accessories. White is a canvas that will suit many kinds of accessories but a key element is to keep it simple. Never overwhelm the white canvas. Wooden accessories go well (bangles, beads etc.), as does any metallic jewelery.
